Make Sure you have a Google Places Account - Be sure to use your correct business name and be sure to complete all applicable sections of the profile including business web address, Photos, Categories and Descriptions. If there is already a profile, claim and optimize it with the most up to date information.
2. Gain Local Citations
Do a Search in Google for your Main Business Phone # Go through any online listings with local directories such as Yelp and Local.com Claim and Optimize each by adding Info such as a Logo and business web address. Make sure all information matches exactly the info in your Google Places page.
There are paid options for some online directories, but a free listing is good for a business starting out.
